Friday August 12, We got that first week in our back pockets!

So today the alarm was ringing and I just wanted to toss it across the room, but I knew that was not the way it is done.  So I got up and headed for the shower, then feed the animals and got into the car.  When I got to Mom and Daddy's I announced that I was in the market for a kitten as I saw traces last night in the house.  I have not had this problem before since I have always had quite a few cats in the yard but now with having the boxers in the yard the cats do not have a chance.  So I have decided that I will get a house cat and that will solve my issue.  I have put Misti in charge of this mission, so she can pick out the kitten that will come to live with us.

From Moms I went to work and got busy getting folders and files ready for the day.  I need to get so much done and I put this pressure on myself as I know the administration does not expect this to be done overnight.

The day was so much calmer today than yesterday, everybody seemed to be more relaxed.  Then we had baseball games and softball games going on today so that seems to calm the ravage beast by letting the kids go out to watch a few innings.

When I got off and came home I had Laurie's girls arriving not long after me.  So I got busy making hamburger curry.  Misti had made rice while I was working and so it did not take that long to have it all ready.  The girls got to the house before dinner was finished so the kids had some time to visit with them while I finished it off.  When we knew the girls were here, they called to get the gate code, Misti asked Patience to do her a favor and go on the patio and move the large mop bucket in case it rained again we did not want it in the yard.  So Patience is on the back porch and is bent over this large mop bucket and when she looks up Brittany and Nicole are walking up the sidewalk.  She flipped.  Patience has really missed Brittany this summer and this was the first time she was getting to see her.  Payton started screaming when he saw her and we were afraid he would fall off the porch trying to get to her.  So we were all able to sit down to dinner and have a very nice time.
