So I get up this morning and get ready then feed, head out the door. I am so pumped with all the work I got done yesterday, can't wait to get back to the office and get the rest finished. I stopped by to see Mom and Daddy then headed on to the office.
So I did not get much done before breakfast due to the phone, grrrr. So then after breakfast I get caught up in trying to get all the elem students that have not turned in their packets with enrollment forms. The next thing I know it is time for lunch. So I go into the lunchroom to get my PC going and it has hit a glitch on processing the breakfast. Frozen and not responding. Just what you want to see when you have 35 pre-k and kindergartners in line wanting lunch. So what would you do? Grab you keys and run? The thought crossed my mind but I did not think I would make it, so I just grabbed some paper and my pen and started writing names down. Once I got about all the way thru elem, (219) my PC decides it is ready to go back to work. If I did not think the board would frown I would pick it up and drop it just to see if that is how you fix on of these things.
So after that my day just continued on as such, As I tried to eat I had an irate parent at my window wanting to withdraw her child, then another wanting a copy of their forms and my tray sitting there cooling off. I then got a parent wanting to enroll 2 children into the school so I got nothing done with my paperwork, that's OK I can use this new system at home, right that was one of the selling points about it. I brought home a few hours of work and guess what, you got it my Internet is too slow to run this program. If that doesn't beat all! I will babysit tomorrow night. Then on Wednesday I will work late to get this last bit inputted. It is so much faster to do this when there is not all the interruptions. Or at least this is my plan. So when I got in we started dinner, I had bought some beef at the store and we had marinated it. We decided to make fajitas out of it, the kids loved the meat,Patience had a couple of fajitas and Payton just had the meat with the chips and cheese on the side, Misti also made some homemade salsa that was very good and went so well with this meal.
We needed to run to town after dinner so I told Misti, I would get more meat and freeze it for another time. We got a few other things then I needed to get gas so we went after that then I surprised the kids by stopping at the snow cone shop an we all got a small snow cone. It was a pleasant way to cool off. I think it made Payton feel better also, he is still battling that cold, plus now his left eye is getting weepy and hurting. Not sure if it is sinus or pinkeye starting. At bedtime he cried to Misti that his eye hurt, she got a cool wet cloth and put it on it gave him some relief so he could sleep. He will be heading back to the Dr.'s in the morning.
