So this morning I did not want to get up. I do not know what is up with my sleeping but I sure wish I could figure it out. So as I am showering I am going thru everything I need to do today and am hoping I get most of it tackled.
I went over to Mom and Daddy's house for our morning coffee and chat. Had a nice visit with them then out the door I was. While on the road to work I called Kris to see what his plans for the day were as it was their anniversary today and I was not sure if he would be able to come to Seminole or not. So he told me that yes he did get the day off and would be heading this way soon. I volunteered to babysit for tonight if they wanted me to. After wishing him a happy anniversary I hung up. I had talked to the kids last night about today and told them that we would take Misti to dinner and we would let her pick where.
So while I am at work I get a text asking me to contact Brandy to invite Misti out to lunch so Kris can be at the restaurant to surprise her. I called Brandy and she was all in for this so she called Misti and arranged to meet at Garfield's at 1130. Kris was then contacted to let him know the when and where.
About 1135 I get a text saying Thank You , so I knew it was a hit. I know anniversaries are very special and yes you can celebrate them on other days but it is so nice to celebrate on THE day. Boy and I were apart for about 8 or 9 years before we were able to celebrate on the day, between the army and the oilfield. I remember getting so excited the first time we were going out to celebrate and we just went to the bowling alley to play pinball, I guess it is not what you do but with who that is important.
After dinner the kids and I went out side for an hour so they could play and we could enjoy the heat, cause you never know how long that will be around. Actually by 6 it was not so bad, it was overcast and so they had fun, I did warn them it was hair washing night cause of the sweaty heads when we where out and they were troops about it when we came in. Even the cat got a bath, as Patience had dropped some chili from her chili dog on her while she was having dinner and I did not think it was a good idea to leave it there. Payton stood right by my side as I bathed his cat wanting to know why she was not happy. When I was done he even helped me dry her off and told her it would be OK. He sure loves his cat. I think she loves him too, as she lets him do what ever to her, throw her across the room the let him pick her back up to throw her back across the other way.
